Where you’ll train
UKFor this workshop we’re at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO)Teaching Centre.

You can take this workshop as a stand-alone day or in conjunction with our Joint Assessment or Postural Correction workshops.

A comprehensive workbook accompanies the day and a certificate of attendance is awarded. In addition to this, we automatically and informally assess all attendees. This ensures that you have reached a good understanding of the subject and are able to apply techniques safely and effectively.

What you’ll learn:
Workshop snapshot

Being able to assess the posture of your clients is an invaluable skill. Did you know it is a myth most clients have ‘tight' rhomboids? How can having poor posture produce shoulder pain? On this highly interactive day Jane Johnson, Chartered Physiotherapist focuses on postural assessment techniques for beginners.

What you’ll learn:
The big picture

Using your own workbook (provided), and with expert guidance, follow our step-by-step approach as you carry out a full postural assessment, learning to identify which muscles are short and tight and which are lengthened and weak.

Identify clients with kyphotic postures and learn how having tight hip flexors contributes to low back pain and hamstring imbalance. Also learn to identify hypermobile clients as well as having your own posture assessed if you choose.
