Where you’ll train
UKFor this workshop we’re at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO)Teaching Centre.

A comprehensive workbook accompanies the day and a certificate of attendance is awarded. In addition to this, we automatically and informally assess all attendees. This ensures that you have reached a good understanding of the subject and are able to apply techniques safely and effectively.

What you’ll learn:
Workshop snapshot

Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is a method of stretching muscles that is widely used by sports massage therapists and fitness instructors. Similar to Proprioreceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) this technique is gentle, yet hugely effective.

What you’ll learn:
The big picture

With Jane Johnson, Chartered Physiotherapist, learn to perform MET on muscles all over the body, in supine, prone and sitting, and see how this facilitates an increase in joint range and lengthening of muscle tissue.

Learn how to use MET for clients with a stiff neck, tight pectorals, tight hip flexors, calves, and hamstrings.

Use it on the upper limbs following immobilisation, or for treating clients with adhesive capsulitis.
