Accredited by both the CThA , FHT and STO - Advanced Training, 5 credits..

Bodyworkers of all disciplines including fitness instructors and teachers of pilates. Attending this workshop provides an excellent opportunity to revise your muscles and is therefore highly beneficial for anyone who feels a bit rusty in this area.

Passive Stretching is a recognised National Occupational Standard (NOS) for sports therapy as set out by Skills Active. (D522)

Where you'll train
UKFor this workshop we’re at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO)Teaching Centre.

Attendees receive a comprehensive set of handouts and certificate of attendance and are informally assessed to ensure competency.

Jane Johnson, Chartered Physiotherapist, helps you learn how to advise your clients on simple and safe stretching routines and to analyse how best to incorporate stretching into your practice.

The focus of Jane's, workshop is on the practical aspects of this discipline but with a touch of theory too. The majority of the day is spent practising different stretches, addressing all major muscles of the body. Participants find there are questions such as, 'For whom might this be a good stretch? For which clients might this be contraindicated? When and how should stretching be used following injury? Can this stretch be used as part of a rehabilitative programme?'
