What you'll learn:
Workshop snapshot

On this 100% interactive day Jane Johnson, Chartered Physiotherapist, author of Postural Assessment: Hands on Guides for Therapists

Oct 2008

focuses on how to assess posture and what that means for you and your clients.

Being able to assess the posture of your clients is an invaluable skill, one that every body worker should have in their tool kit!

Did you know it is a myth most clients have ‘tight' rhomboids? That having poor posture produces shoulder pain? Or what the term winged scapula really means?

What you'll learn:
The big picture

With expert guidance, you will learn to carry out a full postural assessment, identify which muscles are short and tight and which are lengthened and weak.

Identify clients with genus valgum and genu varus, hypertonic or hypertrophied muscles and learn how having tight hip flexors contributes to low back pain and hamstring imbalance. Also learn to identify hypermobile clients as well as having your own posture assessed if you choose.
