Where you'll be & when

Welcome to our 4-day Using Essential Oils in Sports Massage Diploma. It is the most comprehensive diploma for sports massage therapists wanting to use essential oils to enhance their practice and sports therapy treatments.

Your tutor, Tanya Moulding, TIDHA, MIFA, has over 10 years experience as a Clinical, Holistic Aromatherapist and Massage practitioner and has been teaching Holistic Aromatherapy diplomas and postgraduate master-classes for the past 6 years.

The diploma is awarded by us, The London Massage Company and insurable through Holistic Insurance Services and Balens.

You'll train at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO)Teaching Centre with 4 days in the classroom taken over two
weekends:
Weekend 1 - Sept 4th & 5th
Weekend 2 -
Sept 18th & 19th

With both your theory and practical exams taking place at the end of October.

What’s included

You can enrol on the diploma if you hold a qualification in sports massage with a minimum of 6 months post qualifying experience. 

Once qualified on the Essential Oils for Sports Massage Therapists you will:
understand and be able to apply the therapeutic properties and safe use of the 12 essential oils outlined on the syllabus
be able to mix the oils to create specific blends to support and enhance your treatment goals
be able to safely apply essential oil blends during a treatment and advise your clients on effective home care use
understand how to use essential oils in variety of application methods  

The course fee includes:
Your very own mixing kit including all 12 essential oils and your mixing bottle
Your comprehensive, interactive course manual
Massage couches and couch roll
Refreshments during your breaks

What to expect: In a nutshell

The Diploma is highly practical in nature with the theory integrated into practice. All the practical elements of Using Essential Oils in Sports Massage syllabus will be covered in class and you will be actively involved for most of the course! 

To further develop your skills and embed knowledge, some theory of blending will be covered by supported home study and practical exercises.  Students will be expected to complete three case studies to be submitted before the exam date.

NB. The course does not allow graduates to call themselves Aromatherapists, and that the practise/use of essential oils is only within the remit of treating the Sports related conditions outlined and for mood enhancement during treatment and for post-treatment/client home use.
