Sports Massage & Sports Injuries Intensive

Welcome to The London Massage Company Sports Massage & Sports Injuries diploma - the ultimate sports massage course taught by Jane Johnson, Chartered Physiotherapist. Totally focus and engage in your learning experience.

Once qualified you will be a Sports Massage Practitioner, and one of the best in the UK.

You'll train at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) Teaching Centre with 15 days in the classroom taken in three five-day blocks:
Week 1: 25th-29th Jun 2012
Week 2: 23rd-27th Jul 2012
Week 3: 20th-24th Aug 2012

The final day of the course is your revision day on September 22nd, the day before your practical and theory examinations on September 23rd. You will then have three months to complete your case studies and project before your diploma is awarded.

You can enrol on the diploma if: you have a qualification in anatomy and physiology (e.g ITEC, MTI, VTCT or equivalent)
you have a basic/swedish massage qualification (e.g ITEC, MTI, VTCT or equivalent)

Our Sports Massage & Sports Injuries course is 80-90% practical in nature, with most theory lessons integrated into practice. All the practical elements of the sports massage syllabus will be covered in class and you will be on your feet and actively involved for most of the course! Students especially love the Clinic Days where you will assess and when appropriate, treat real clients.

There are appox 120hours of mandatory home study, some of which will need to be completed before you begin the course. Case studies and a project also form part of your diploma but each piece of homework and the project count as a percentage of your final mark.

The case studies and project need to be handed in within 3 months of the exam date before your diploma is awarded. We will make time to discuss these and we have plenty of great examples to show you.
